Finding a spot in Milan that has good Wi-Fi, doesn't kick you out after 20 minutes, and serves decent coffee is basically an extreme sport. But after two years of trial and error, I’ve found my holy trinity of study spots.

Whether you need deep focus or just a cute backdrop for your "Study with Me" reel, here are my top 3 favorites ✨

21 House of Stories (Navigli)

📍 Navigli Area

This place is honestly a game-changer, especially for us design students who appreciate good interiors. It’s a hybrid hotel and social space, but the "Co(z)working" area is where the magic happens. The aesthetic is super modern and colorful, perfect for getting those creative juices flowing. It’s lively but productive. You’ll see lots of other students and freelancers here. If you need a break, you can chill in the outdoor courtyard or just stare at the canal view. It feels less like a library and more like a creative hub.

💸 Student Deal (The Best Part): Okay, listen to this: The coworking space is usually paid, BUT it is free for students! You just have to show your university badge/card at the entrance.

  • Price: Around €9 for a day pass (includes water & coffee).

  • Student price: €0 for the space. You just pay for whatever extra food you want.

  • Food: They have a bistro called Domenica. Students usually get a discount (around 10-20%) on the menu.

Gogol & Company

📍 Via Savona / Piazza Berlinguer

If you want main character energy while studying, this is it. Gogol & Company is an independent bookstore with a café inside. Being surrounded by books just makes me feel smarter by osmosis, you know? It’s cozy, intellectual, and slightly hipster (in the best way). It’s quieter than 21 House, making it better for reading or writing papers. The lighting is warm and soft, super comforting when it’s raining outside. Just a heads-up: it gets busy on weekends, so arrive early to grab one of the armchairs or the big shared table.

There is no entrance fee here; it works on consumption.

  • Price: Just buy a coffee or tea (approx €2.00 - €3.50).

  • Food: They have nice cakes and light lunch options.

Flora et Labora

📍 Alzaia Naviglio Pavese 20

Okay, I saved my personal favorite for last. Since I’m vegan, this place is literally heaven. It’s a plant shop, a bistro, and a coworking space rolled into one. It’s basically an urban jungle. 🌱
Imagine studying inside a greenhouse. It is incredibly relaxing, filled with plants (which you can buy!), and smells amazing. It’s super Instagrammable, so expect to take a few photos before you actually start working. It’s perfect for when I’m sketching or brainstorming.

This is a dedicated coworking space, so you pay for the time, but it’s very affordable.

  • About €2.50 for the first hour (which includes a coffee/tea!) and then €1.00 for every 30 minutes after that. They also have half-day passes (around €6).

  • Their entire menu is plant-based.

Which one is your vibe? Let me know if you try these spots!

Study hard! 💖
